FAQ
Honest answer: Beehiiv subsidizes their biggest customers with their smaller customers. We don't have that volume yet, so our cost basis catches up at the high end. The premium pays for own-IP isolation and dedicated deliverability ops, which Beehiiv Max doesn't include either. If you're at this scale, the domain ownership and own-IP isolation matter more than $130 of monthly delta.
Resend Marketing through 50k contacts (faster onboarding, better DX, similar deliverability). AWS SES for 50k+ subscribers via per-account routing (lower cost basis at scale). Every stream is opt-in only and isolated by configuration set so your sender reputation stays clean.
To add three DNS records on your domain, yes. To do anything else, no. The platform is a web app. The $99 onboarding add-on covers the DNS step if you want help.
